Wilkeson Sandstone Collection.

Wilkeson sandstone is named for the small mountain town in the Cascade Range of Washington where it is quarried. Wilkeson sandstone can range from a light beige to golden yellow and has a coarse grain that looks like it came straight from the ocean beaches.

Formerly a coal mining region, it is possible to still find thin veins of coal running through some of the pieces we use.
